Another Scene Preview and Character Movement


Hello Welcome to my 3rd devlog today i will show off another scene preview with some probuilder models and new character movement with that amazing walking animation from last week.


How i made this is set up the animation with custom parameters which controls what animation should play so i have a boolean variable called isWalking and the script will determine if the player is inputting movement and relay this information to the animator which controls which animation plays.

I also added a new building with ProBuilder which is just a simple shed you can see in the background here:

I used ProBuilder to scale out a cube for the foundation and then scaled the top inwards slightly to create the 4 walls  and the same with the front face to create a doorway, i then just scaled the outside faces upwards and added a roof with a new shape which i just scaled to fit the building, Simple!

I made a custom terrain generation tool which did most of the heavy lifting by generating the heights, painting the splatmap and also placing all the trees and grass for me, although i did go through it and tidy things up a bit and add detail such as a path, grass in specific areas like around the lake, etc...
